DOT Compliance Requirements

The Department of Transportation (DOT) establishes drug and alcohol testing regulations for companies that fall under its jurisdiction. These regulations are aligned with the Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991, which mandates employees in transportation-related industries to undergo routine drug and alcohol testing. These regulations can be highly complex, and it’s often difficult to know exactly what your company needs to do to remain in compliance.

At AZC Drug Testing, we provide a full suite of drug and alcohol testing compliance services via our DOT consortium program. We also provide something that’s harder to find: trustworthy guidance stemming from years of experience in the industry. When you partner with our team, you’ll enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing your company is covered.

Easy Enrollment in Our DOT Consortium Program

All employers regulated by the DOT are required to establish a drug and alcohol testing program. To facilitate compliance and allow companies to better navigate the complex regulations, the DOT allows employers to outsource their testing needs to consortium/third-party administrators (C/TPAs). A consortium program, such as the comprehensive one available from AZC Drug Testing, can handle either part or all of your drug and alcohol testing compliance services.

We’ll customize your program to suit your company’s needs. AZC Drug Testing offers easy, hassle-free enrollment online that walks through many of the potential services that you may need such as pre-employment testing, clearing house compliance services and SAP follow-up testing programs. Furthermore, our drug and alcohol testing compliance services have earned the respect of federal and state enforcement agents who have audited our programs.

A friendly representative at AZC Drug Testing will help you understand exactly what you need to do to be in compliance, whether you’re the HR manager at a transportation company or an owner-operator.
